 EnterpriseWorks (EW) is a 43,000 sq ft startup business incubator in the Research Park at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Since opening in 2003, EW has become the launching pad for over 50 startup companies. EW provides an ideal environment for starting a high-growth technology venture with 24 full wet-chemistry labs, furnished office space, an extensive array of shared equipment, server co-location facilities, and conference rooms with complete presentation facilities and high-speed wireless Internet access.
Applying to Rent Space at EW
Companies interested in renting space at EnterpriseWorks must submit a completed application (download pdf) accompanied by a written business plan. Acceptance as a tenant is contingent upon meeting the following general criteria:
- The applicant must be an incorporated for-profit company with a valid tax ID.
- The applicant must be an early-stage technology-based company with significant market potential.
- The applicant must have (or wish to have) an active relationship in some form with UIUC.
- The principals involved should be well-qualified in their field of technology and have (or plan to have) experienced management as part of the team.
- The company must be financially solvent with a plan to raise sufficient capital to achieve its business plan.

Conference Rooms
EnterpriseWorks has 6 conference rooms of different sizes that can be reserved by tenants of EnterpriseWorks on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms can be booked online. Non-tenants of EnterpriseWorks can also reserve these rooms for a fee subject to availability.
